Stolen handgun and drug found in Cooper County

COOPER COUNTY, Mo. — Three pounds of marijuana and a stolen gun were reportedly seized when a trooper stopped a driver in Cooper County Tuesday afternoon.

The incident took place around 12:30, when William K. James, 24, of Jefferson City was arrested for driving while suspended. Pursuant to that arrest, the highway patrol states marijuana, a stolen weapon, over $16,000 in cash and drug paraphernalia were seized.

James was held in lieu of bond at the Cooper County Jail.
